Our face and body oils are designed to nourish, balance and absorb beautifully. All our skins are unique, your skin will absorb more or less than others . So you need to find the amount that makes your skin soft and subtle not oily after 10 mins.

We recommend checking each product description for guidance, and consulting your healthcare professional if unsure. We use essential oils and active botanicals that may not suit all stages of pregnancy.

Jokes aside — yes, our products play nicely with others. Just be mindful when layering actives (like acids or retinol) — less is more, and we’re always happy to advise.

We are proudly cruelty-free. The only living things benefiting from our products are you and maybe the occasional overly moisturised elbow.

When needed, yes.

We use natural, broad-spectrum preservatives where required (for products that contain water or could come into contact with it). For our oil-only products — no preservative is needed. Your safety is top priority.

Some are, some are not.

Our beef tallow products (like Crème de la Cow) are not vegan — but they are beautifully sustainable and skin-loving. Many of our oils, cleansers, and masks are 100% vegan-friendly — each product page will tell you clearly.

While we create with menopausal skin in mind, anyone who wants lush, natural, nourishing skincare with a bit of cheek is welcome here. Good skin knows no age limit.

At Bare Skin Essentials, we offer custom blends and can tweak certain products to suit your skin’s needs. Pop us a message or book a consultation — we love creating skincare as unique as you are.

Generally:

Oil-based products: 12–18 months
Creams and cleansers: 6–12 months once opened
Dry masks: up to 2 years if stored well

We recommend storing them out of direct sunlight and heat — and using them up (they’re too good to sit on a shelf!).
